SJ Chiro - Director, story adaptation and producer

SJ Chiro was born in NYC, but raised on two hippie communes in Northern California. She graduated from Bennington College in 1987. In 1988 she moved to Seattle to begin her life as a theater artist. She teamed up with the then fledgling company, Annex Theatre, acting and directing, and eventually became the Artistic Director in 1998. In 1989, she married handsome Zimbabwean student Farayi Chiro. In 1995 her first child, Munya, was born. In 2001 her daughter, Jesa, was born. 2002 marked the beginning of her karate education with Sensei Day of the Washington Karate Association. All of these events have heavily influenced her film, Little Red Riding Hood.
